Sunday January 12, 2020 - AMSTERDAM - The setting was sumptuous.

It is in the Move Experience Center by Pon in Amsterdam that the winners of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux were honored at the traditional annual awards ceremony.
It was a great opportunity to dive back into the best moments of the past season and already look to the future.
At the Move Experience Center, the future of motorsport and mobility at Porsche was already combined with the present since the Formula E and the new Porsche Taycan were on display this Saturday.

The 2019 season marked a turning point for the fastest brand cup of the country dishes.
At the wheel of the 911 GT3 Cup, the drivers competed for the first time in the very official Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, proof of the recognition by Porsche Motorsport of the importance taken by this championship.
During the past season, the Benelux Cup has performed in such prestigious contexts as the FIA World Endurance Championship on the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit or the ever very glamorous DTM events at Zolder, Assen and the Nürburgring.

The 2019 winners

As champion, Max van Splunteren left with the most beautiful trophy.
In twelve races, the Dutchman has climbed eleven times on the podium, including eight times on the highest step.
His dolphins, the Belgian Dylan Derdaele and the very young Dutchman Loek Hartog, were also honored.
Designated as the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux Junior, Hartog will receive support from the promoter and its partners to continue its involvement in the Benelux Cup in 2020.

The class B pilots were also brought into the spotlight.
A regular in the Benelux competition, the champion Roger Grouwels was joined on the podium by Nicolas Saelens and Bas Barenburg.

And let's not forget the Porsche Endurance Trophy and its winners.
The Red-Ant Racing Team of Bert, Ayrton and Yannick Redant won in the Cayman Clubsport Class while Thems Racing by EMG, represented by Nicolas Van Dierendonck and Filip Teunkens, took the Class 911.

A promising future

Organizer and promoter of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, The Driving Force can count on a very enthusiastic new team, led by Olivier Aerts, the Series Manager.
Objective: to grow the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux so that it becomes more than ever the benchmark for circuit events in the Benelux.
The ambition is also to welcome a more international team with drivers - from the Benelux or from abroad - who can combine the Benelux championship and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

Once again, the 2020 calendar is prestigious.

As a common thread, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux will perform three times as part of the DTM (Zolder, Nürburgring and Hockenheim).
In addition, two events will take place on the Circuit de Zandvoort, completely modernized to accommodate Formula 1, and there will also be an appointment on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Five times out of six, three races (instead of two) will be contested in order to increase the driving time ... and the fun!

During this gala evening, the organizers also put into play a commitment to the race for the Porsche Carrera Cup which will take place just before the 24 Hours of Le Mans in mid-June.
Very coveted, this invitation was drawn this Saturday in Amsterdam.

The lucky winner is Loek Hartog, who will therefore be responsible for representing the Benelux Cup in a peloton of 60 Porsche 911 GT3 Cups.

In addition to the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Porsche Endurance Trophy, a new competition will be launched in 2020.
The Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux is primarily intended for amateurs and “gentlemen drivers”, but it could also reveal new talents.
Wanting to be as accessible as possible and with a lot of driving time (180 minutes per weekend), this Challenge will see Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of different generations (991, 997 and 996) and Cayman GT4 Clubsport (981) and 982).
