From this weekend in Barcelona

In the wake of a very successful return to the Nürburgring, Didier Van Dalen will return to his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup this weekend in Barcelona. With motivation at the top!

"I loved the weekend in the Eifel," he says.
"As I supposed, I was running out of pace in the first free practice sessions, especially since I had to learn the circuit as well.
But the more I got into the car, the better the times.
I gradually regained my feelings, I learned to better negotiate the difficulties - especially the first sector - and I took a lot of pleasure.
I finished the first race in 8th overall and the second in 6th.
This allowed me to win twice the category Guest, being finally the best amateur drivers, which is always nice.
In short, it was a very nice fitness.
"

For the Business and Marketing Manager of the famous Porsche dealership now based in Louvain-la-Neuve, the wait will not be long before returning to the circuit.
And it will be a discovery again!
"I have family ties in Barcelona because my sister, Olivia, lives there," he smiles.
"But I have never raced on Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya.
I have often seen on TV and even video games, but in reality it is always different.
I am very happy to have the chance to be able to discover this weekend, which is more at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in which I always take as much pleasure.
"

Didier, once again assisted by mechanics from the Kronos Porsche Center and engineers from the Fach Auto Tech training, knows however that the challenge is significant:

"I will be registered in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, but we will share the track with the competitors of the French Cup.
There will be approximately thirty-five 911 GT3 Cups on the track.
Since my main goal is to have fun, it's even better because there will be more fighting.
The French are familiar with this route, which they have already visited several times.
My reference is the drivers involved in the Pro-Am category among the French.
These are often people who, like me, have a very busy job and for whom motorsport is above all a hobby.
If I could get closer to the best of them, it would be great.
And if in addition I can hang a Top 5 in the Benelux ranking, it would be absolutely perfect!
"

Four hours of private testing are on the program Thursday, which will allow Didier to understand the track.
Friday, two free practice sessions will be ideal to fine-tune the settings before the qualifying practice, at 16:00.
The first of the two races will take place on Saturday at 2:20 pm and the second on Sunday at 11:00 am.
