Ulysse De Pauw did not live the epilogue expected in F3 BRDC

He was the man in the form of this second half of the season in British F3 BRDC.

Ulysse De Pauw was planning to achieve a high-flying result at Donington Park to end the season in style.
Alas, everything went wrong for the Brabançon.
"By signing the third time twice, I had signed my best qualifications of the season.
And yet, it was the weekend where I scored the least points while the podium was easily playable. ", Summarizes Ulysses.

The Calvary of the Grézien started at the first corner of Race 1.
"I ended up in the fire extinguishing package," he explains.
"I was sandwiched between two cars and I could not avoid the collision with another driver.
I was able to start again and finish 5th but the race management held me responsible for the incident and penalized me by 10 seconds ... while it was clearly a race!

In the end, I finish beyond the Top 10. "

Forced to start at the bottom of the grid for Race 2 with the principle of the grid reversed, the Douglas Motorsport resident saw the arrival at the 9th rank, not without having made an incursion into the grass after having also been caught in the crush of the first meters.
Ulysses unfortunately drank the chalice to the dregs in Race 3 where everything stopped at the first corner.
"I was also involved despite myself in a collision ... with the same driver!
This time it was more serious since the suspension bar was affected and I had to give up. "

Coming to Donington to secure his 5th place in the championship, Ulysses drops to seventh place because of this rotten weekend.
Rather than mulling over his disappointment, the 18-year-old wolf prefers to see the glass half full to take stock of his first season in British Formula 3.
"In terms of performance, I think I was in the Top 4 for the whole year.
I just missed success when I really needed it.
Apart from that, I have evolved a lot, gained confidence as well as technical feedback and, above all, gained maturity.
I intend to implement all these points to come back stronger in 2020. "
