Full of points for Anthony Lambert at Misano

He was aiming to confirm his promising entry into Silverstone and he did not disappoint.

Anthony Lambert headed south and the beautiful Misano circuit to compete in the second round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.

A very formidable opponent was going to manifest himself from the first tests: the heat wave that turned the Italian route into a real furnace.

"With 38 degrees in the shade, it was very hot in the cockpit and we suffered a lot from the heat," said Anthony. "After 20 minutes, our drinks turned into tea! Finding the right settings for this exceptional weather was not easy, but luckily we managed to find the right thing just in time for qualifying. "

Qualified in 6th position for the Race 1 disputed at night on Saturday, the Castelbrainois and his team-mate Niels Lagrange made a solid run that allowed them to make full points.

"I am very satisfied with my performance," said the resident of Leipert Motorsport. "It was not easy to heat the tires with the drop in temperatures but I managed to keep my position. Niels then completed the work to finish in 4th place. These are good points for the championship! "

It was under a zenith sun and a real dodger that Race 2 was held Sunday.
Once again, Anthony and Niels were talking lightning again.
"We started 8th to finish 4th. The podium was playable but the 4th place is very good because it allows us to return to the championship. "

The 19-year-old Brabançon will not have time to breathe, as he will be back in the Zandvoort circuit with his Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo in less than two weeks.

"We showed that we could aim for a place in the Top 3.
At Zandvoort, we will only be satisfied by a podium or a victory.
It will also be a very busy weekend for me since I will be competing in the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup at CG Racing where I will perform night relays.
I will spend my weekend commuting between Belgium and the Netherlands! "
