Bikaner - Pokharan

During our journey we stop in a small village, Kurja.
The main feature is the gathering of migratory birds around a body of water. We could admire the cranes damsels of the Himalayas. Other kinds will soon join them.

Knowing that the cow is sacred veterinary structures have been installed in the Thar Desert to care for cattle who are frequently injured on the roads because of heavy traffic.

Our guide had the good idea to present us the place which is quite exceptional and which lives on donations and on the sale of products of cattle origin.
Be careful not of meat but milk and cow's urine.
The latter is supposed to have curative virtues among others for diabetes and cancer!

Arriving at Pokharan we settle in the splendid hotel Fort Pokharan, pink sandstone building of the 16th century that belonged to the maharajas of Jodhpur.
After the heat of the road, because we are in the desert, it is with pleasure that we dive into the white marble pool.
The place is well maintained and contains many objects that belonged to their illustrious occupants in the past.

While visiting the city we meet Indians who come to pilgrimage for Shiva temple where they deposit one of their bracelets by formulating a wish.
They will come back when it is granted and on this occasion will take again one of those who are there because of course theirs is undecellable.
We will also admire a jain temple that has been opened just for us.
