In Brussels, you really have the bowl ... thanks to Poké House!

Share

Once you've discovered the concept, you'll want to invite your friends to discover the Poké.

This is a classic dish, made from Hawaiian cuisine.
Originally, this bowl made of eviscerated fish, shelled and deboned, seasoned with condiments (sea salt, Maluku nuts or seaweed) was really traditional ...
In the 1970s, it was modernized and popularized, turning fish into fillets, served with Hawaiian salt, still seaweed and kukui meat, which was molded, roasted and roasted.
The Hawaiian Islands quickly adopted the modernized formula, which later spread to the United States where the Poké became very popular in the early 2010s. Two young entrepreneurs decided to "Bruxelliser" ...

There are really exciting adventures.

That of Lara Dratwa and Sammy Tielemans is part of it, probably because They are young, had the idea to open their restaurant in the very gourmet Chaussée de Boendael and after a few months, can say that the challenge is raised, to the point of opening a second address.
Our tandem offers the Poké in all its forms, with all that everyone may wish to add (or remove) to compose the "perfect" bowl.
Lara and Sammy have won a triple bet ...

In a Poké worthy of the name, we must put quantity, quality, but also pep's, a small hint of enthusiasm and "wow"!
That's what the young duo did: brown rice, quinoa, masago (capelin eggs), Wasabi mayo (lemon, honey, Japanese mayonnaise) or mayo Sriracha, Mango sauce (mangoes, young onions, chili, juice apple), sea bream coco, Tataki beef, Crispy chicken or shrimps ... Roquette, edamames (immature soya beans), fennel, ginger, wakame or nori (fresh seaweed) ... Fried onions, colorful sesame, fresh pomegranate ... and these are the more exotic elements that you can incorporate into your Poké.
Vegetarians are not forgotten and if you suffer from intolerance, just report it.
In the end, this gives a very refreshing and joyful cuisine, perfectly matching everyone's taste, and you get into the game by composing your original Poké.

It is also fun to watch the recipe of the neighbor, to be inspired for next time.
And if you do not feel like a composer, Poké Signatures are for you.
Salmon, tuna, sea bream, chicken, beef, tofu ... You can also choose "sides" and we recommend shrimps in tempura!
The drinks are nice, with some iced tea and a selection of sodas and beers you probably do not know.
À la carte you will also find some wines, to spend a good evening with friends.

The same decoration dresses the restaurant located on Chaussée de Boendael and the new one that has just opened rue Jourdan (Louise district).
The terrace can accommodate more than 20 seats.

If it's cool in the evening, you'll have a blanket on your shoulders and in the dining room, you'll find the neon signs that make the Poké House signature.

You will have the choice between one or the other table of four cutlery, some places in frontage and others on high stools, unless you prefer to settle at the long central table.
On each of the chair backs, a fur coat (synthetic) and on the tables simple slices of raw wood, a few red roses for the touch of color, cutlery and chopsticks as well as condiments.
The glass counter proudly shows all the fresh products and the team works with smiles and kindness.
There is both a "delicate Viking" side and a very "modern Tokyo" side.
In short, it's a unique blend ... and we know we're at Poké House.
Even the Japanese will be baba!

Located in the Porte Louise district, the restaurant on rue Jourdan is as well placed as its predecessor in Ixelles and already very popular for its menu.
The service is fast, efficient and smiling.
In the evening, the clientele arises more and we exchange willingly between neighbors of table.

It should also be noted that at lunch time as well as at night, many customers working in companies located around the two restaurants or returning home, come for a Poké.
The service of Take Away is therefore a great success.

One of the goals of Lara and Sammy was to create a trend, but also places of conviviality where it would be good to return.
It is therefore logical to see loyal customers of Boendael take a trip to Jourdan, to see if they find the Poké House spirit.
And it's bet won!

Led by its dynamic homeowners duo, it's all staff who work in a positive, warm and focused on the customer.
The prices also give the smile, since no Poké does not exceed 18 € in formula menu and 16 € in solo version.

Who will dare to say that in Brussels, we have no bowl?
