However, the festive atmosphere seems somewhat tarnished because Princess Peach does not seem to be quite herself ...

Everything suggests that King Olly, the self-proclaimed ruler of the Origami Kingdom, has the terrible intention of bending the whole world to his will.
His plan already looks terrifying on paper ... and only a real hero will prevent him from carrying it out!
In Paper Mario: The Origami King, Mario will have to face one of the worst calamities he has had to face, because as if things were not already catastrophic enough like that, King Olly also wrapped the castle of the Princess Peach in giant streamers before moving it to the top of a mountain!
And he even folded Bowser's henchmen to make them implacable emigrants entirely devoted to his cause!
Fortunately for him, Mario has a whole arsenal of tools to help him on his journey.
Thanks to the Multi-folded Arms, for example, players will be able to interact with the environment by pulling, pushing or even taking off certain parts of the scene to reveal new paths, solve puzzles or simply discover unexpected secrets.
During their adventures, players will also be able to team up with long-standing or new allies, such as Olivia, Olly's sister (and the opposite of her brother).
Bowser, meanwhile, refuses to comply with Olly's wishes, and Mario will be happy to accept any help offered to him!
Paper Mario: The Origami King introduces a new combat system, where clashes take place on an arena made up of rings that will have to be rotated and slid to position the enemies in order to cause them maximum damage.
In other words, lively action and wit will be necessary to overcome your opponents in these fights which promise to be frantic.
